Role:

As a BDE, will contribute in evolving & developing marketing strategy and achieve sales figures set for the territory. Preparation of Business Forecasts, Competitor analysis. Continuous learning of PEB technicalities.

Job Description:

Prospecting and enquiries generation from sources like Corporate Houses, Private companies, Individuals, Non Govt Organizations etc
Meeting prospects and making presentations.
Collect the client’s requirements /consultants’ drawings and explain the feasible PEB options.

Preparation & submission of Techno Commercial offer to the Clients.

Negotiation with clients & finalize the orders
Send the required documents and signed Offers etc., to head office.
Collection of Advance or Balance payments from customer and submit to Head Office.
Coordinating with customer and Production department to get the order executed and dispatch of material.
Sending sales forecasts and reports to superiors at regular intervals.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES (Apart from regular activities)

Form strategic relations with the agencies (Govt Industrial Boards) to enhance business opportunities or marketability.
Provide inputs in strategy formulation of the company.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and technically strong Checker with proven experience in PEB detailing and drawing validation. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of PEB design concepts, fabrication methods, and erection processes, ensuring that all drawings meet company, client, and international quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform thorough checking of PEB shop drawings, erection drawings, and BOMs for accuracy and completeness.
Validate design intent, member sizes, connection details, and fabrication feasibility.
Ensure compliance with AISC, MBMA, BIS, and company-specific standards.
Review and cross-verify connection design sketches, GA drawings, and fabrication details from design engineers.
Check and approve secondary framing, bracing layouts, crane beam arrangements, and building accessories.
Identify and correct potential issues related to fit-up, weld sequencing, bolt alignment, and erection tolerance.
Coordinate effectively with designers, modelers, and production teams to resolve technical discrepancies.
Maintain quality checklists, revision control, and version history for all released drawings.
Contribute to continuous improvement of checking processes and detailing quality standards.
 

Technical & Software Expertise:

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Tekla Structures (model review and markups).
Strong command over PEB detailing workflows – primary, secondary, and sheeting systems.
Familiar with ERP and document management systems used in fabrication projects.
Sound knowledge of weld symbols, bolt grades, fabrication tolerances, and material specifications.

 

Required Qualifications:

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering.
3–5 years of proven experience as a Checker in a leading PEB company (mandatory).
Strong understanding of shop fabrication, erection methods, and QA/QC processes in PEB.
Excellent analytical, visualization, and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure with zero-error commitment and tight project schedules.
 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in checking international projects (US, Middle East, etc.).
Knowledge of Tekla Model Checking or BIM coordination.
Certification in structural steel detailing/checking

Interaction with: Architects, Structural Engineers, Project Managers, Fabrication teams, Erection teams, and PEB design teams to ensure accuracy and timely delivery

Role Overview

A Tekla Steel Modeler in the Structural Steel and Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) industry is responsible for developing accurate 3D models, fabrication drawings, erection drawings, and BOM reports using Tekla Structures. The role requires strong knowledge of steel structures, PEB systems, and adherence to Indian Standards (IS) and American Standards (AISC) along with other relevant codes. The modeler will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure precision, compliance, and timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Modelling & Detailing
Develop detailed 3D models of structural steel and PEB components using Tekla Structures.
Prepare shop drawings, GA drawings, erection drawings, and assembly drawings.
Incorporate mark-ups from redlines, RFIs, and design revisions.
2. Standards & Compliance
Ensure strict adherence to Indian Standards (IS) and American Standards (AISC) for steel detailing and construction.
Apply knowledge of international codes such as AISC, BS, and CISC when required.
Maintain model integrity by identifying and resolving clashes.
3. Coordination & Collaboration
Work closely with PEB design teams, engineers, architects, and project managers.
Coordinate with fabrication and erection teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
Participate in project meetings and align deliverables with client requirements.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Generate accurate Bill of Materials (BOM), fabrication, and erection reports.
Maintain proper documentation, version control, and workflow alignment.
5. Continuous Improvement
Stay updated with advancements in Tekla Structures and PEB industry practices.
Adapt quickly to evolving project requirements and industry trends.
 

Key Skills

Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures (3D modelling, detailing, reports).
Steel & PEB Knowledge: Solid understanding of steel connections, fabrication, erection processes, and PEB systems.
Standards Awareness: Strong knowledge of Indian Standards (IS) and American Standards (AISC); familiarity with BS, and CISC codes.
Drawing Interpretation: Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and PEB design drawings.
Attention to Detail: High accuracy and focus in modelling and documentation.
